MARCONOL ORIENTALITE RAPID THIXOTROPIC BASE COAT FAST DRYING FOR WOOD Series 144 DESCRIPTION MARCONOL ORIENTALITE RAPID is a fast drying covering base coat for wood that allows to prepare perfectly smooth surfaces, ideal for quality finishes. The product features excellent filling power, ease of application and good expansion. The dried film can easily be sanded, providing a solid anchor to the finish product. It is designed with a anti-drip thixotropic structure to facilitate even application overhead (ceiling beams) or in difficult positions. product up to 5% with white spirit 5200010. - The application by spray can be carried out only within the framework of activities subject to the provisions for the authorization of emissions into the atmosphere (Articles 267 et seq. of the Legislative Decree no. 152/2006), after dilution to 10% with White spirit 5200010. - N. coats: 1-2 depending on the condition of the surface. - Tools should be cleaned immediately after use using White spirit 5200010. - Indicative spreading rate: 6-8 sqm/l per coat on surfaces featuring average absorption. TINTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE It may be applied indoor and outdoor on: - Wood surfaces new or previously painted - Surfaces in plastic materials. The tints are obtained through the Marcromie tinting system. In case of using multiple batches it is recommended to remix the various products together to avoid slight differences in shading. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS STORAGE - Type of Binder: thixotropic urethane alkyd resins . - Solvent: mixture of aliphatic hydrocarbons - Specific gravity per UNI EN ISO 2811-1:1.45±0.05 kg/l. - Drying (at 25 C and 65% R.H.): to touch in 3 hours; to recoat after 4 hours with solvent-based top coats; to recoat after 6 hours with water-based top coat. Maximum temperature for storage stability: +30 °C Minimum temperature for storage stability: +5 °C The product should be preferably used within 3 years from date of manufacture when stored in original unopened containers and in appropriate temperature conditions. SAFETY RULES Wood surfaces: - Sand lightly to remove the raised wood fibers. - Remove any layers of old flaking paint and rough up all painted surfaces. - Remove any resin using a suitable diluent. - Fill the imperfections with synthetic filler. Sand after putty applications and remove dust. - Apply on clean and dry substrate , 1-2 coats of primer MARCONOL ORIENTALITE RAPID. - Complete the painting with a water soluble or alkyd solvent-based enamel. A/i: One-pack performance coatings (sb): 500 g/l (2010) The product contains max: 500 g/l VOC Rigid PVC surfaces : - Sand the surface to lightly coarsen it. - Degrease and clean the surface. - Apply 1-2 coats of MARCONOL ORIENTALITE RAPID . - Complete the painting with a water soluble or alkyd solvent-based enamel. It is advisable to check in advance the accession of the system to the rigid PVC surface. SPECIFICATION ITEM APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS Air and surface conditions: Air temperature: Min. +5 C / Max.+35 C. Relative humidity of the air: <75%. Temperature of the surface: Min. +5 C / Max. +35 C. Humidity of the surface: <10% R.H.. - Avoid applying the product when there is condensation on the surface, or in direct sunlight. - Tools: brush, roller. - Dilution: ready to use. It is still possible to dilute the Flammable. The product must be transported, used and stored in accordance with the standards in force regarding hygiene and safety; after use, do not litter, let residues dry out completely and treat them as special waste.
