Flexible steel upright for signposts FLEXIBLE ON CAR IMPACT RESISTANT TO HUMAN INTERRACTIONS Standard signpost Signpost with Augustaflex upright PROTECT URBAN LOOK AND CUT MAINTENANCE COSTS technology for signposts and bollards SAEDI offers an intelligent solution to the urgent problem of damaged signposts and bollards in impact zones, disorderly aesthetics, and signpost maintenance – the innovative Augustaflex® technology with disc springs. Signposts and bollards equipped with the patented Augustaflex® technology appear like traditional fixed structures. However, in the event of a collision, they do not deform or break. The Augustaflex® system allows for a bending angle of 40° or 90° upon impact, promptly returning to the upright position. Augustaflex® signposts and bollards bend only in the case of sufficiently strong impacts, such as car collisions, but remain vertical during human interactions and gusts of wind. Application: ■ Impact zones and critical areas with a high frequency of damage. ■ Parking lots, loading zones, and crossroads. ■ Residential areas, especially in areas inconvenient for maneuvers. Characteristics: ■ Optimal strength level: The signpost bends only upon a car’s impact starting from 18 kNm2 and remains vertical in case of human interactions. ■ Up to a 40° bending angle upon impact in any direction; the signpost returns immediately to the upright vertical position. ■ Diameter options: Ø60.3mm/Ø76mm, total signpost height up to 400cm. ■ Four installation variants: surface, ground sleeve installation, or within lower expander for existing signpost and plinth.
