On 7th May, CEO Chris Dimou welcomed a large crowd of guests to the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the company founding in Chester, Connecticut, north-east of New York City. Today, the Roto North America business region encompasses two companies: Roto Frank of America, Inc., based in Chester, USA, and Roto Fasco Canada, Inc. in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Both locations produce window and door hardware for North America. “Roto Frank of America was created from the very beginning as both a sales company and a production company,” recalled Dimou in his welcoming speech. “This e nabled us to achieve the great success that we enjoy today by combining European window and door technology with hardware developed specifically for America and produced in America.” Many notable manufacturers of window and door solutions rely on this “Roto Mix”, and quite a few of them have won prestigious design and innovation awards in recent years. Customer-oriented and creative There is more behind the unprecedented success story of Roto North America’s development than just a single unique product mix. One crucial factor forming the basis for the dynamic growth seen in particular in recent years is the consistent implementation of the sales and service strategy pursued by Roto worldwide. For the second time, Roto North America received the “Customer Value Champion” award for 2018. This award is given to companies in the Roto Group whose performance and development was evaluated as excellent in a customer benefit analysis. This marks the fifth time in eight years that Roto North America has received an award within the group: Dimou accepted the award for “Customer Value Champion” for 2016, the award for the “Best Performing Market” for 2015 and the “Turnaround Performance Award” for 2011. Constantly impressive Dr. Keill praised the continuously excellent performance of the Roto North America business region in his speech: “Roto strives for excellence in all areas that are truly important for customers when selecting a supplier. And in this area, Roto North America is setting a shining example under the leader- ship of Chris Dimou. For this, and for their clever, customer- oriented product concepts, he and his team have received many awards – not just from Roto, but also from customers.” For instance, at the start of 2019, readers of the professional journal “Door and Window Market Magazine” voted Roto Patio Inowa as the best hardware solution for sliding systems, and the product was consequently awarded the prestigious “Readers Choice Award” in the category of sliding system hardware. Roto Sliding for North America Roto Patio Inowa is in fact a further example of the successful introduction of a European innovation into North America. “We are proud that manufacturers as renowned as Weather Shield have developed special profiles and elements to enable the use of Roto Patio Inowa”, Dimou explained. “This enables them to introduce tightly sealed parallel retraction sliding systems that satisfy both planners and end customers to their m arkets.” The growth that Roto has enjoyed on this continent is thanks to both customer-specific solutions manufactured in America and exce
