Surface Trends v2 - 1

Surface Trendsvolume 2 Design trends in interiors shift differently than in clothes or hairstyles. A completely clean break with the past just isn't practical. Change is more evolutionary than revolutionary. This is why our new TFL [Duramine] introductions are at once fresh and new, and designed to easily integrate with colors and grain structures already on the market. The Relevance Collection carries on our proud tradition of backing up best-selling designs with world-class service. Learn more about Relevance inside.

Surface Trends v2 - 2

Surface Trends | volume 2 The Relevance Series: Universal Additions Inspired by the coastline of the Pacific Northwest, the first four designs in Roseburg’s Relevance Collection have been carefully selected to ensure that our entire offering will continue to be “relevant” for commercial and residential markets. We began by observing broader design trends in commercial and residential markets and identifying voids in current decorative surfaces. We then worked with designers to create decorative panels with a perfect blend of character and color to bridge the current with the future, the...

FROM TREND BOARD Rules are for Breaking by Kenn Busch The design world moves in strange and wondrous ways. Carved-in-stone rules from the past are chipped away when a few designers flirt with breaking them, more join in, and suddenly an avalanche of new designs buries any evidence that those rules existed in the first place. In the decorative TFL world, another evolution is taking place. At one time suppliers placed a priority on imitating specific wood species and veneer cuts, both in structure and color. In reality, the structure and the color of decorative surfaces can be controlled...

Surface Trends v2 - 4

A gentle humid breeze invites the rich brown seed heads of cattails to sway and dance heavily on a lazy afternoon, an oasis of hypnotic rhythm in a shimmering Northwestern marsh. Evoking a linear walnut, Southern Cattails is at once tranquil and elegant. The level of contrast in its fine details and very subtle crossfire add a hint of the exotic to this large-scale design, ideal for residential, commercial and hospitality projects. Southern Cattails unifies the other offerings in our new launch. Surface Trends I volume 2

Surface Trends v2 - 5

Ruby Beach Pacific winds and waves will forever be redesigning Ruby Beach on Oregon's spectacular shoreline, grading sand through stones, tossing driftwood logs, frosting shrubs in salt. Based on a quarter-sawn white oak, Ruby Beach is a complex gray with a mix of warm and cool colors for balance and compatibility with a wider pallet. The fine scale of the pore structure accommodates small parts, while broader color movement works well for larger panels. A universal design for residential, kitchen, closet, commercial, retail, restaurant, hospitality and office. Surface Trends I volume 2 5

Surface Trends v2 - 6

Calm Horizon Breaking through to kiss the waves just before it sets, the sun recasts a long day's pallet in a flash. An elegantly natural design, Calm Horizon is a complex neutral with great fidelity and colors, inspired by cathedral-cut ash. More rustic in character than the others, with a mix of warm and cool tones for flexibility and a soft pore fill, Calm Horizon is a close cousin to Sand Shoal. A very strong design for residential, kitchen, closet, retail and hospitality. Surface Trends I volume 2

Surface Trends v2 - 7

Sand Shoal Beach, bridge or island? The tides aren't telling what tomorrow brings. Sand Shoal is a contemporary taupe gray with a reconstituted veneer structure. While obviously wood, recon veneers are created for consistency and have no true grain pattern. Sand Shoal feels more urban than rustic, designed to be a volume workhorse in offices and kitchens.
