Product catalog summary
Overview: Ronafix is a BBA Approved single-part modified styrene butadiene liquid additive designed to enhance the physical and chemical properties of cement mortars. It allows for thin section application, provides waterproofing, frost resistance, and promotes adhesion to building surfaces.
Applications: Ronafix is used in high-strength, high-performance mortars with a typical minimum application depth of 6mm. It is suitable for weatherproofing and tanking applications, with two specific mix designs: Mix Design A for weatherproofing and Mix Design E for tanking.
Physical Properties:
  • Compressive Strength: 1 day - 38N/mm², 3 days - 45N/mm², 7 days - 56N/mm², 28 days - 70N/mm²
  • Tensile Strength: 7 days - 5.0N/mm², 28 days - 7.1N/mm²
  • Flexural Strength: 7 days - 12.9N/mm², 28 days - 16.2N/mm²
Mix Designs:
  • Mix A (Weatherproof Renders): Cement 50kg, Medium sharp sand 125kg, Ronafix 9 litres, Water 9 litres (approx.)
  • Mix E (Tanking): Cement 50kg, Medium sharp sand 125kg, Ronafix 14 litres, Water 4 litres (approx.)
Preparation and Application: The substrate must be structurally sound and free of contaminants. Surfaces should be prepared to expose aggregate for a mechanical key. The surface must be dampened before applying a 1:1 Ronafix:cement primer. Mortars can be mixed by hand or machine, with machine mixing preferred for even dispersion. Apply the mortar onto the wet primer using conventional plastering techniques.
Curing: After application, cure the surface with Monocure 50 or use tight-fitting polythene to prevent moisture loss.
Certification: Ronafix has been tested by the British Board of Agrement and holds Certificate No. 86/1651 for its waterproofing properties.
Site Attendance: Ronacrete representatives can provide guidance on installation methods, but the responsibility for correct installation lies with the contractor.
Additional Information: The product information is subject to change, and users should verify they have the latest version. Ronacrete Ltd is not liable for product performance if used without proper verification.
