It is used to create flexible seamless surfaces which absorb sound and impact. The open matrix allows water to drain through to the base, reducing water ponding and when used outside, potentially allowing water to flow to natural water courses. A solid edging created from materials such as brick, stone, timber, or steel should be installed as necessary to protect edges. The system must be laid onto a sound stable and solid base such as concrete, asphalt or onto permeable bases for SuDS compliance. RonaDeck Soft Feel Pool Surround resin comprises a two component light stable polyurethane resin and a range of selected rubber granules. The design of this resin bound granule system provides a surface which is attractive, safe underfoot, and highly porous. It’s porosity reduces surface ponding of rain and water run-off from surrounding areas, allowing water to drain to natural watercourses or manmade drainage systems. Problems associated with freeze / thaw cycle degradation are also reduced. This is in line with the requirements of Sustainable Drainage Systems Regulations (SuDS). RonaDeck Soft Feel Pool Surround is designed for foot traffic. Vehicle traffic, heavy impact, high point loading and shear, will damage the surface and may result in failure.
