Do not allow your design to be compromised… Insist on a Rockwool system that meets the standards… REQUIREMENTS Ductwork passing through a fire rated wall or floor must comply with BS 476: Part 24: 1987. This British Standard requires that any ductwork meets three criteria: • Stability • Integrity • Insulation For example, a system having 1 hour stability, 1 hour integrity and 15 minutes insulation is rated at 15 minutes only.
