The venue was built to stage small-to-medium live music and sporting events, such as handball, fencing, basketball and wheelchair rugby, as well as community sports and athlete training. Meeting the acoustic rating was vital to optimise the audience experience and to ensure that the bass frequencies and crowd noises don’t disturb residents living just 700 metres away.
