Overview
The CW 60-Solar is a building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) curtain wall and roof system designed to provide an aesthetically pleasing and technologically advanced green energy solution. It is compatible with the CW 50 and CW 60 systems, offering a comprehensive curtain wall solution. The system features specially designed profiles for improved installation and maintenance of photovoltaic components and cabling, with new face caps designed to maximize sunlight absorption and minimize shading.
Technical Characteristics- Style Variants: Available as a building integrated photovoltaic curtain wall or roof.
- PV Panel Integration: Options include semi-transparent or normal, crystalline or amorphous, single or double glazed, with side or back PV panel boxes, and glass-edged designs.
- Fixation: PV panels are fixed using pressure plates.
- Panel Thickness: Ranges from 6 mm to 48 mm.
- Visible Width: Both inside and outside visible widths are 60 mm.
- Outer Covering Caps: Designed with reduced height for minimal shadow and special design for ultimate drainage.
- Depth Mullion and Transom: Mullion depth is 119 mm; transom depth is 67.2 mm & 109.2 mm.
- Inertia: Mullions (Ix: wind load) at 102 cm4; transoms (Ix: wind load) at 45.8 cm4 & 157 cm4; transoms (Iy: glass load) at 33.1 cm4 & 54.6 cm4.
- Rebate Height: 30 mm on the topside and 20 mm on the bottom side of glass.
- Types of Vent: Compatible with all Reynaers systems, including top hung windows, POW windows, and flush roof windows.
Performance- Energy Production: Dependent on the situation; contact Reynaers Aluminium fabricator for specifics.
- Thermal Insulation: Specific tests per profile combination; contact Reynaers Aluminium fabricator.
- Acoustic Performance: Rw (C; Ctr) = 34(-1;-4) dB / 48 (-2;-8) dB, depending on glazing type.
- Air Tightness: Maximum test pressure of 600 Pa (A4).
- Water Tightness: Ranges from 0 Pa (1A) to 1200 Pa (RE).
- Wind Load Resistance: Maximum test pressure of 2400 Pa.
Notes:- The Uf-value measures the heat flow; lower values indicate better thermal insulation.
- The sound reduction index (Rw) measures the frame's sound reduction performance.
- Air tightness tests measure air volume passing through a closed window at a certain pressure.
- Water tightness tests involve applying water spray at increasing air pressure until penetration occurs.
- Wind load resistance measures structural strength against simulated wind force.
