Overview: The CS 68-FP profile system is designed to provide fire resistance for at least 30 minutes. It is based on the established CS 68 series and is suitable for constructing compartment systems and escape routes.
Specifications:- Minimum visible width for fixed windows: 77 mm (EN 1363-1, NBN 713-020), 64 mm (NEN 6069).
- Minimum visible width for outward opening flush doors: 42 mm.
- Overall system depth for windows and flush doors: 81 mm (EN 1363-1, NBN 713-020), 59 mm (NEN 6069).
- Glass thickness: up to 32 mm.
- Glazing method: dry glazing with polychloroprene or neutral fireproof silicones.
- Thermal insulation: 23 mm fiberglass reinforced vinylester strips.
Performance:- Energy: Thermal insulation with a Uf-value ≤ 4.4 W/m²K, depending on the frame/vent combination.
- Comfort: Acoustic performance ranges from 34 dB to 44 dB depending on glazing type. Air tightness is tested up to 600 Pa, and water tightness ranges from 0 Pa to 1200 Pa. Wind load resistance is tested up to >2000 Pa with deflection classes A, B, and C.
- Safety: Burglar resistance is classified into WK 1, WK 2, and WK 3.
Technical Notes:- The Uf-value indicates the thermal insulation efficiency; lower values mean better insulation.
- The sound reduction index (Rw) measures the frame's sound reduction capability.
- Air tightness tests measure air leakage at specified pressures.
- Water tightness tests involve applying water spray at increasing pressures until penetration occurs.
- Wind load resistance tests simulate wind force to assess structural strength.
- Burglar resistance is evaluated through various load tests and simulated break-in attempts.
