Introduction
RESOLTECH 2080M systems are liquid foaming epoxy casting systems designed to create low-density, closed-cell structural cores. These systems have a free expansion coefficient ranging from 4.5 to 6.6, allowing for the production of epoxy foams with densities of 170 and 250 kg/m³. The foaming process is slow and controlled, eliminating the need for mixing machines and allowing direct casting without altering dimensions.

Mixing Ratio
The systems require precise mixing ratios: 100/35 for 2080M 17 or 2080 M25/2083M and 100/30 for 2080M 17 or 2080 M25/2085M. Accurate mixing is crucial for maintaining mechanical properties. The recommended casting temperature is between 18°C and 25°C.

Application and Curing
Foaming begins 2 minutes after mixing, with a 10% margin for casting losses. The foam can be released from the mold after 24 hours with 2085M hardener and 72 hours with 2083M hardener at 23°C. Post-curing is not required for use after 7 days at 23°C. Large castings should use 2083M hardener due to its thermal properties.

Physical Characteristics

Resin and hardener densities and viscosities are specified for optimal performance.
Foam density after foaming is 0.17 or 0.25 depending on the system used.

Mechanical Properties
Compression modulus and maximum strength vary based on curing conditions, with higher values achieved after specific curing cycles.

Packaging
Available in various kit sizes from 1kg to 1t, including hardener.

Transport & Storage
Store between 10°C and 30°C in a well-ventilated area. Ensure containers are sealed.
