Introduction
RESOLTECH 2060 ALU 25 is an aluminum-filled epoxy resin designed for composite tooling, suitable for casting and wet layup lamination. It is optimized for demanding heating and cooling cycles, offering excellent air release and self-leveling properties. The system includes a gelcoat version, 2060GC ALU, and allows for de-molding without pre-cure.

Mixing Ratio
The system requires precise mixing ratios: 100/7 for 2062 hardener and 100/13 for 2066H hardener. Accurate mixing is crucial for maintaining mechanical properties. Recommended workshop temperatures are between 18-25°C.

Physical Characteristics
The mixed system is a filled grey liquid with a density of 1.67 (2062) and 1.65 (2066H) at 23°C. Viscosity measurements are 3600 mPa.s (2062) and 7500 mPa.s (2066H) at 23°C.

Reactivities
Gel times and exothermic peak temperatures vary between the two hardeners, with 2062 having a longer gel time and higher exothermic peak temperature compared to 2066H.

Curing and Post-Curing
The system cures at room temperature, allowing mold release after 24 hours. Post-curing at 80°C for 2 hours and 100°C for 3 hours achieves full mechanical properties.

Packaging
Available in various kit sizes, from 1kg to 200kg, with corresponding hardener quantities.

Transport & Storage
Store between 10°C and 30°C in a well-ventilated area. Ensure containers are sealed.

RESOLTECH 2060 ALU 25 aluminum epoxy resin is formulated for the production of composites tooling using it as casting resin or as wet layup lamination system. It enables the production of tooling that will resist many years to the most demanding heating and cooling post-curing cycles of: heating RTM & pre-preg tooling, thermoforming of thermoplastics or polymer concrete/solid surface injection tools.
