Introduction
RESOLTECH 1070 ECO is a high-end, crystal-clear epoxy laminating system designed for clear laminates and high-gloss coatings with UV stability and high mechanical properties. It features a partially bio-sourced epoxy resin with a plant-based reactive diluent, achieving a 42% biobased content without compromising structural integrity. The system is suitable for carbon fiber and special E-glass fabrics, offering excellent wetting properties and bubble-free surfaces.

Mixing Ratio and Application
The mixing ratio by weight is 100/35 and by volume is 100/43. Accurate mixing is crucial for maintaining mechanical properties. The system can be applied using a squeegee, brush, or roller. Workshop temperatures should be between 18-25°C for optimal mixing and fiber impregnation. The resin may crystallize under certain conditions but can be liquefied by heating.

Physical Characteristics
The 1070 ECO system is a transparent purple liquid with a density of 1.18 for the resin and 0.96 for the hardener at 23°C. The mixed density is 1.11. Viscosity at 23°C is 1750 mPa.s for the resin and 50 mPa.s for the hardener, with a mix viscosity of 700 mPa.s.

Reactivities
The gel time for a 70mL sample at 23°C is 28 minutes, with an exothermic peak temperature of 185°C. The biobased carbon content is 42% for the resin and 31% for the mix.

Reticulation & Post-Curing
To achieve maximum thermo-mechanical properties, follow the recommended curing cycles. The glass transition temperature (TG) varies with curing cycles, reaching up to 88.1°C. Shore D hardness is 86 at 23°C and 88 after 16 hours at 60°C.

Mechanical Properties
Flexion modulus is 3.55 GPa with a maximum strength of 89.8 MPa at 23°C, and 3.24 GPa with 110.6 MPa after 16 hours at 60°C. Water absorption is 0.36% after 24 hours at 23°C.

Packaging
Available in various kit sizes from 1kg to 1T, with corresponding hardener quantities.

Transport & Storage
Store in sealed containers between 10°C and 30°C in a well-ventilated area. Check the expiry date on the packaging.
