WIDE PLANKS For more than 45 years, we have been supplying carefully selected wide plank floors all over the world. Every plank that is prepared at our family-owned company in Mörkaskog, Småland, has its own personality. Every plank tells its own story, which we then pass on to you. It is no wonder that wide planks have become our signature – we want natural shapes and forms to take centre stage. Mother Nature is the best designer in the world. We need only to glance out of our windows here in Mörkaskog for confirmation of that fact. It is here that we find inspiration. It is here we feel...

genuine craftsmanship FROM SMÅLAND, SWEDEN Towards the end of the 1600s, the Rappe family arrived in Mörkaskog in Småland. Three hundred years later, Adolf-Fredrik Rappe came up with the idea of making a floor that was very stable yet maintained the authentic sense of wood. His idea proved very successful. Today, Rappgo’s wide multi-ply planks are in great demand all over the world. And the production? It is still carried out in Mörkaskog.

FACTS ABOUT RAPPGO WOOD FLOORING Skirting profile – used along walls. T-profile – used as a connector strip between two floors. Regardless of the type of floor, common sense goes a long way. By stopping dirt at the front door, you make it much easier to maintain your floors and increase their lifespan at the same time. Heavy furniture or furniture that is often moved should be fitted with pads or castors to prevent scratches. In offices and other public areas, it may be a good idea to use floor protectors under desks and chairs so as to preserve the distinctive features of the floor. • The...

UNDERFLOOR HEATING It is becoming increasingly common to install underfloor heating in a room or an entire apartment. There are, however, some factors to consider before installing a wooden floor on top of a heating system of this kind. Underfloor heating is typically divided into two types: water-borne and electric. If you choose the electric solution, make sure that your underfloor heating supplier guarantees that the system is suitable for wooden floors. Some types of wood are better suited to underfloor heating than others. For example, beech and maple are not at all suitable for use...
