RAIS WOOD-BURNING STOVES - a future-oriented choice! Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Obviously, Rais does more than simply comply with offi cial requirements regarding carbon dioxide – CO2 emissions from a Rais stove are well below the maximum permitted level. Particle emissions (PAH) RAIS has reduced the emissions of particles from all its stoves on the basis of many years of experience and the ongoing development of unique fi re boxes - documented by the fact that our stoves have United States and Norwegian approval and carry the Scandinavian Swan Label. ENVIRONMENT When used correctly, a wood burning stove is one of the most environment-friendly forms of energy available. When fi red properly, burning dry wood is completely CO2-neutral. What we can work on is better exploitation of heating value and the improvement of smoke cleansing. We constantly strive to do this, and as a result several stoves carry the Scandinavian Swan Label. RAIS The idea for the fi rst RAIS wood burning stove arose in the 1970s when the oil crisis took a serious grip on Denmark. It was “The Original” RAIS 1, which for its day was an entirely new, ground-breaking design. Thanks to some far-sighted investments in hi-tech production equipment such as industrial robots and CNC-controlled machines, the factory in Frederikshavn in Denmark has a capacity of more than 20,000 stoves a year and a range of more than 20 products.
