*— Innovative Acoustics Acoustic Tunnel Lining This is our largest tunnel project to date. 30,000m2 of Qu ietstone FR are to line this tunnel which has ceiling sections cut out, exposing nearby residents to noise from the road. Our panels will be supported by a steel structure and are also required to protect services behind in the event of a fire. Quietstone FR was designed as a bespoke sound absorber for this project and has now become a standard product. Material used: Quietstone FR® Epping to Chatsworth rail tunnel, Australia 25Km of Quietstone was used between the rail tracks to ruduce noise build up as a result of rolling noise generated by the train wheels and track. The panels were moulded to form 'feet' underneath providing high sound absorption and a suitable height for workers to walk across. Material used: Quietstone TrackSlab Dublin Port Tunnel, Ireland Noise build up caused by hard, reflective surfaces of the tunnel interior was controlled with the use of Quiet- stone. As the tunnel is used by many large lorries, a lining material needed to be able to sustain the pressure changes as vehicles enter the tunnel. As Quietstone has an inherant flexibility, it can move in sympathy with these kind of pressures. Material used: Quietstone® Neville Street, Leeds, UK As part of a brave investement to provide a gateway to the City of Leeds, Quietstone light was moulded into perforated metal caskets which also housed LED lights to create a unique aesthetic appeal. A sound system was also installed to play urban music as passengers drive through. Our material helped in reducing noise levels from traffic and creating suitable acoustics for the music in a usually hostile environment.
