Noggings and Fixings: Noggings are made from Promat TD Board® offcuts and glued to steelwork. Cover boards are fixed with spiral screws or adhesive and nails. Boards can also be impaled on welded pins and secured with washers.

Adhesive Usage: Promat VICUBOND® WR ADHESIVE is used for board-to-board and board-to-nogging joints in adhesive systems. It should not be applied on the external face of joints. The adhesive must set hard before applying cover boards, typically taking about 4 hours at 20°C. The adhesive is non-toxic with a pH of 7-9.

Fire Protection Specifications: Tables provide specifications for board thickness and fire resistance periods based on limiting steel temperatures of 550°C and 620°C, guiding the use of clip fixings, welded pin fixings, and adhesive fix noggings for different beam configurations and loading conditions.
