Technical data sheet Fire rated assemblies & appliances Intumescent seals PROMASEAL®-GT Product description PROMASEAL®-GT is an intumescent fire protection laminate based on graphite, which creates high pressure on expansion due to the effect of temperature. It is characterised in particular by an increased expansion factor and expansion pressure. It forms a stable, compact char that seals gaps or openings quickly. This ensures a secure seal against the spread of smoke and fire of the overall construction. • Resistant to atmospheric effects (light, heat, frost, UV radiation, humidity (1)) • Free from organic solvents • Overpainting is possible with standard paints (e.g. acrylic, chlorinated rubber, 2 component epoxyresin paints, silicones, etc. - preliminary tests concerning adhesion and compatibility required) (1) The fire protection properties according to TR 024: 2009 are not impaired by weathering, however, direct influence from humidity can lead to optical and fastening impairments. We therefore recommend that you do not expose the product to permanent direct moisture. (2) Accelerated ageing test with subsequent fire test according to EN 1363-1. Intumescent seal for metal doors, gates and fire dampers PROMASEAL®-GT is processed with commercially available cutting tools, e.g. cutting shears, cut to the desired dimension. For adhering, a self-adhesive version is available. If necessary, adhesion tests are to be carried out. • Variants with self-adhesive can be stored for up to 12 months Please refer to the safety information sheet for additional advice.
