FIXXTEC FIXXTEC multipurpose waterproof adhesive sealant PRODUCT DESCRIPTION FIXXTEC is an adhesive suitable for sealing and waterproofing a wide range of materials. It can be used to secure the FOILTEC waterproofing membrane system by sealing it to other elements such as thresholds, balcony and terrace doors, window and door frames, protective sheeting or Profilitec bordertec sealing profiles, exterior and interior (bathroom, kitchen) drainage systems. MATERIAL FIXXTEC is a single component waterproof elastic sealing adhesive based on MS polymers supplied in boxes of 12pcs in 290ml cartridges. It is a multi-purpose product that can also be used to bond PROFILITEC products such as skirting boards, joints, shells, transition profiles, etc. It has CE marking. It meets the standards: EN15651-1 - “Sealants for facade elements” with performance F EXT-INT CC; EN15651-3 - “Sealants for sanitary environments” with performance XS3 CC; EN15651-4 - “Sealants for pedestrian walkways” with performance PW EXT-INT CC). MATERIAL CHARACTERISTICS AND FIELDS OF APPLICATION FIXXTEC is UV-resistant, weatherproof and can therefore be used not only indoors but also outdoors. This adhesive is odorless, elastic, solvent-free and has excellent adhesion on most materials such as aluminum, steel, wood, stone, fiber cement, concrete, glass and many plastics. Profilitec FIXXTEC can be applied both wet and submerged, and can generally be used both as an adhesive and as a sealant-waterproofing agent. It is also suitable for expansion and connection joints. Profilitec FIXXTEC is paintable with most water- and solvent-based varnishes. Where special chemical, mechanical or other stresses are expected, the suitability of the material should be checked. • The substrate must be sufficiently clean, solid, load bearing, and clear of elements or substances that will compromise its adhesion. • Apply Profilitec FIXXTEC to the substrate. • Spread the adhesive over the entire surface by pressing with a trowel. • Lay the material to be bonded as quickly as possible over the entire surface and without leaving any gaps. • In case FIXXTEC is used as a joint sealant, it should be smoothed immediately after application and any excess material immediately removed.
