Coflex CTR - 1

Metal movement joints with a grindable central infill, very resistant to heavy passage. Ideal for porcelain tile. The robust, continuous metal angles of the profile protect tile edges, marble or stone and reduce mechanical stresses which can compromise the integrity of the flooring when exposed to intense passage. The metal parts on the sides of the joint are composed of Trimtec profiles with a rounded top edge and perforation designed to absorb elevated loads and tension which impact the flooring and become a single element with the tile and adhesive. The hardness of the EPDM infill is a perfect compromise between flexibility and resistance. The height of the joint should be chosen according to the floor thickness and the amount of tile adhesive used during installation. coflex™ The profile must remain 0.5 - 1 mm below the floor level. The suggested bays are in accordance with UNI 11499:2016 regulations: Indoors: from 5m x 5m to 6m x 4m Outdoors: from 3m x 3m to 4m x 2.5m Considering: - Tile format - Joint width - Adhesive characteristics - Substrate properties The width of the seal (5mm) has minimal visual impact, yet should be used in small-medium spaces (shops, common areas, homes and private garages), where the movement that the joint must compensate is limited. COFLEX CTR-IL* Polished Stainless Steel AISI 304 - DIN 1.4301 + Grindable Infill Cold-rolled AISI 304 stainless steel profile. Recommended for food processing plants, commercial kitchens and hospitals. Due to the profile's mechanical resistance, typical applications include kitchens, restaurants, cafeterias and factories. It is also ideal for projects with a modern aesthetic. May be used both indoors and outdoors with excellent resistance to corrosion. Installation Precautions: If an there is an expansion joint already in the mortar bed, perfectly align the movement joint with the existing joint. Once the tile adhesive has been applied with appropriate tools, press the joint flanges into the tile adhesive and install the tiles, making sure that the joint is not higher than the level of the flooring. The joint should sit 0.5mm to 1mm below the floor level. Completely fill the residual space between the profile and tile with grout. i vec grindable expansion joints
