GEOWEB® SOIL STABILIZATION SYSTEM

Product catalog summary
Introduction
The document provides comprehensive material specifications for the GEOWEB® Soil Stabilization System by Presto Geosystems, detailing material properties, manufacturing certifications, and product warranties.
Material Specifications
The GEOWEB® system is constructed from high-density polyethylene with a density range of 58.4 – 60.2 lb/ft³, stabilized with carbon black and HALS for UV protection. The polyethylene strips are textured and perforated to enhance friction and stability.
Cell and Seam Properties
The system offers various cell sizes (GW20V, GW30V, GW40V) with specific seam peel strengths for both short-term and long-term applications, ensuring durability under temperature variations.
Manufacturing Certification
Presto Geosystems holds ISO 9001:2008 certification, ensuring quality management from raw materials to finished products. Certification details are available upon request.
Substitutions and Product Certification
No substitutions are allowed unless they meet all specified requirements. Compliance certification with testing procedures is available upon request.
Product Limited Warranty
A 10-year warranty is provided against defects in materials and workmanship, with replacement offered for defective sections. The warranty excludes defects due to misuse or improper installation.
Strip Properties and Assembly
Strips can be perforated or non-perforated with textured surfaces. Assembly involves ultrasonic spot-welds with specific spacing, and performance is measured by friction angle tests.
Geoweb Section Properties
Section dimensions vary by cell type with detailed expansion and area specifications provided in tables.
Accessories and Components
The ATRA Stake Clip and ATRA Anchor provide anchorage solutions, with detailed descriptions of their use and installation. The ATRA Tendon Clip is recommended for securing Geoweb sections and tendons.
ATRA® Keys for Panel Connection
Geoweb panels are connected using ATRA Keys, providing a strong connection. Staples can also be used for wall fascia connection.
Integral Tendons
Specifiers must choose appropriate tendons for anchoring Geoweb sections, ensuring tendon strength meets design requirements. ATRA® Tendon Clips should be included for load transfer.
Anchoring Requirements
Anchoring methods include ATRA Stake Clips, ATRA Tendon Clips, Tendons, ATRA Keys, and ATRA® GFRP Anchors, all complying with Construction Drawings.
Appendices
Appendix A: Details the short-term seam strength test procedure conducted every two hours.
Appendix B: Outlines the long-term seam-strength test procedure performed over 168 hours in a temperature-controlled chamber.
