The ATRA® Tendon Clip is a load transfer device that connects the GEOWEB cell wall to tendons, utilizing a 'turn and lock' mechanism similar to the ATRA® key. This design ensures a secure connection that is significantly stronger than traditional devices, being two to five times more robust. This strength allows for a reduction in the number of load transfer devices needed per unit area.
Procedures and Applications
The device facilitates preassembly of tendoned geocell sections off-slope, which simplifies and accelerates installation. It is particularly useful for steep slope applications and for protecting geomembrane covers in various containment facilities such as stormwater and wastewater systems, dams, dikes, landfills, and channel linings.

Presto Geosystems’ announces its newest innovation, the ATRA® Tendon Clip, for their GEOWEB® geocell. The ATRA® Tendon Clip is a new load transfer device designed by Presto to transfer slope gravitational forces from their GEOWEB cell wall to tendons. The device incorporates the same “turn and lock” capability of Presto’s ATRA® key through the GEOWEB system’s cell wall slots. This device is significant in that it delivers a connection certainty, guaranteed to bear against the cell wall and remain there for maximum performance. Its high-strength design is two to five times stronger than traditional load transfer devices, equating to a substantial reduction in load transfer devices required per square foot/meter.
