The connecting element in the Preciosa collection of design lighting fixtures for 2012 is LIGHTNESS. Both the LIGHTNESS of design where the crystal art pieces hover above our heads with incredible subtlety and immateriality and the LIGHTNESS of the Preciosa designers’ ideas, whose fantasy faced no obstacles. Accept our invitation and be inspired by lighting fixtures and lighting objects manufactured with superb skills and precision by Czech glass masters.

inspiral Dance of Light In their most diverse curves, the spirals evoke energetic dance through their dynamism. They can be doubled, whip over one another or are simply closed into one infinite strip. The lighting fixture is illuminated by RGB LED strips enabling to light color to be changed. gorgonian ii Let‘s Levitate! Free-floating clusters of organically twisted leaves. Leisurely joined, but nevertheless inseparably existing together. Gorgonian II is a follow-up to the lighting fixture from the 2011 collection. The new model is enriched by light sources in spirals and mouth-blown drops. Design concep t by Radek Fiala

aquarea Ocean Experience The lightness and harmony of jellyfish floating in endless sea depths is immensely inspiring, as are the fragility and transparent beauty of these mysterious creatures. The jellyfish made of mouth-blown crystal with Fiber Optics visual ornamentation, bubbles and a lustre all ingeniously contrast with the jellyfish composed of Design concep t by Lucie Sokolova

alaris On the Wings of Phantasy Wings spread for flight were the inspiration for this object – they symbolize unlimited freedom. At first glance, the obvious fineness and fragility are accompanied by a strong internal energy. The cut edges of the coffin stones accentuate the optical properties of the finest crystal. gramini In a Fresh Breeze The light object captures the harmonic movement of grass wavering in a fresh breeze. A color design in natural combination is beautiful and ingenious. The grass stems are made of mouth-blown glass. The unique coloring is achieved by gradually applied layers of different colored glass. Design concep t by Martina Strelkova

vitis Sun in Vine Leaves Feel the magic of the play of lights by looking at precious sun rays intertwining between grapevine leaves, penetrated by the colors of fall. Cut facets on the leaves have the ability to make their edge light up and the bubbles in the crystal give a slight glittering effect to the object. Design concep t by Jaroslav Bejvl

alga Genesis of Species This object was inspired by cells and simple organisms, the first forms of life. They can be interesting on their own and together they gain importance and create unique living objects. Each one being an original, the cells are made of fused glass. emmetia Perfect Metamorphosis The inspiration for this object were protective cocoons freshly spun of the finest silk from which beautiful and unique creatures will hatch in the days to come. Every piece of this object is made of mouth-blown glass, entwined by a thread. Design concep t by Petra Schierova

abanico Light in Motion The airborne and organic curves of the object capture the dynamic movement of a hand fan in its different phases and provide the interior with lightness and freshness. The oval-shaped object is made of 21 fans. Each of them contains 17 mouth-blown drops made of several glass layers. Design concep t by Veronika Kopecna

sidus Beneath the Stars Let yourself be carried away and absorb energy under a clear summer sky full of bright stars. The stars are made of glass plates with opal Fiber Optics threads, pulled and shaped into cusps while still Design concep t by Petra Krcalova

strata Shining Layers Utilize the capacity of light and reveal the mysterious pattern of the object made of softly shaped layers. This object consists of twelve layers of wavy fused glass. Very interesting feature is the ingenious back-lighting by LED strips. Design concep t by Jozef Baca
