Scraffito

Product catalog summary
Introduction
The Scraffito Series by Pratt & Larson is inspired by an ancient technique where a surface layer is scratched to reveal a contrasting color beneath. Created by Michael Pratt for the company's 30th anniversary, this collection draws from historical influences ranging from medieval Europe to Arabic geometry.

Designs and Specifications
The collection includes eight 5x10 designs and four 8x8 designs. These tiles can be ordered in over 300 standard colors or hand-painted using the Polywash technique. Scraffito pricing is categorized under Group C in the Bas Relief category.

Polywash Technique
Polywash involves using two colors: an underglaze that fills the carved lines and an overglaze that covers the tile surface. Available underglaze colors include Golden, Brown, Thyme, Mushroom, Silver, Indigo, Charcoal, and India Ink. The overglaze can be any existing Watercolors glaze, with lighter colors enhancing the underglaze details.

Ordering Information
For pricing and orders, customers are directed to contact a local dealer via the dealer locator on the Pratt & Larson website.

Additional Notes
Polywash tiles are handcrafted and hand-painted, with expected variations in color. Watercolor glazes are not recommended for floors and kitchen counters. Monochrome and polychrome options are available for all Scraffito designs.
