What is a heat pump? A heat pump comprises 4 key elements: A compressor A heat exchanger to capture energy from outside (evaporator) A second heat exchanger to release it back on the inside (Titanium Exchanger) A pressure-reducing valve High pressure steam High pressure liquid Regulator A heat pump exploits the heat present in air (as calories) to amplify it to heat the water in your pool. The water in your pool passes through a heat exchanger where it is heated then transported on to your filtration system. Classical pool heating offers calorific output lower than 1: for 1 kW consumed,...

Heat pump calorific output is known as the coefficient of performance or COP. The COP is easily calculated: it's the ratio of power output by the heat pump to the power it consumes. E.g.: a heat pump consuming 1 kW with power output of 5 kW has a COP of 5/1 i.e. 5. The higher the number, the more efficient the heat pump! Outdoor conditions such as air temperature and humidity cause the power output to vary. Refer to our '"Choosing your heat pump" guide p. 6/7 Our heat pumps are checked in line with measurement conditions set out by the Fédération des Professionnels de la Piscine (Federation...

Choosing the right heat pump How do you choose the heat pump which best suits your needs? For this, you need to know the volume in m3 of your pool, when you intend to use your pool and perfect water temperature. CALCULATE THE VOLUME OF YOUR POOL There are several ways to measure the volume of water in your pool based on its shape: Start by measuring the average depth using the following formula: DepthAv = (DepthMax + DepthMin)/2 W = Width L = Length DepthAv = Average depth DepthMax = Maximum depth DepthMin = Minimum depth Ø = Diameter Multiplying this result by the area of your pool, gives...

DETERMINE THE GEOGRAPHIC INSTALLATION ZONE The zones shown are for information only. Before making a final decision about your heat pump, speak to your reseller. Additional criteria C OP: the higher the COP, the more efficient your heat pump. C ompressor: defines heat pump quality and resistance. H ousing casing: three materials are available on the market: ABS offers a very good finish; stainless steel is more easily corroded; aluminium is qualitative and resistant. Noise level: as the heat pump is outdoors, it must not affect those around the pool. Remember that normal conversation emits...

FULL INVERTER TECHNOLOGY Already used in other markets such as domestic heating and air conditioning, Full Inverter technology offers smart heat pump operation. I t's an oversized compressor which can run on different = frequencies to modulate the power supplied. I t's also a variable speed fan which realtime tailors to evaporator needs. variable speed Fan Variable speed compressor Reduction of 70% in the ventilation speed and reduction of 5 to 8 dB Prevention of wear over time and extended service life Up to 30% energy saving in one year

How does this technology work? W hen your heat pump starts up, unlike conventional pumps, the compressor kicks off gradually which prevents power grid peaks, protects the compressor and reduces running costs. When the target temperature differs greatly from the pool temperature, the Inverter technology boosts the capacity of the heat pump to increase the temperature faster. During peak season, to sustain target temperature, the heat pump runs at reduced output which prevents spurious starts and stops, which also reduces costs and noise disturbance. It's also P recise fan and compressor...
