Polysol IPX-F

Product catalog summary
Product Overview
POLYSOL IPX F is an insulating system that combines a plastomeric waterproofing membrane with extruded polystyrene foam. The membrane is reinforced with glass fibre or non-woven polyester fabric, providing excellent thermal insulation.

Specifications
The system includes stiff, coloured polystyrene foam panels cut into 50 mm strips. The waterproofing membrane is made from a distilled bitumen-based compound modified with polypropylene, reinforced with polyester or fiberglass, and produced using NAT® technology to control ageing.

Applications
POLYSOL IPX F is suitable for waterproofing and insulating various roof types, including walkable and non-walkable civil and industrial roofs. It can be applied using different methods such as flaming with propane gas, glue, or mechanical fixings. A double-adhesive vapour barrier is also available.

Technical Characteristics
  • Thermal resistance (RD) ranges from 0.90 to 3.30 m2 k/W depending on thickness.
  • Heat conductivity (λD) ranges from 0.033 to 0.036 W/mk.
  • Compressive strength at 10% deformation is 250 kPa for 3-6 cm thickness and 300 kPa for ≥8 cm thickness.
  • Water vapour transmission is 80 m2h Pa/mg.
  • Long-term water absorption after immersion is less than 0.7%.
  • Reaction to fire is classified as Euroclass E.

Installation Instructions
1. Remove the insulating system from its package.
2. Position the roll over the vapour barrier and torch lightly for adhesion.
3. Fix and weld the overlaps.
4. Position the second roll and torch the side laps.
5. Cut the system for breather pipe insertion.
6. Complete additional necessary details.

Storage and Handling
Store POLYSOL IPX F in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid contact with organic liquids and solvents, and prevent puncturing during installation.

Quality and Compliance
The product complies with European Standards and is certified under UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 and UNI EN ISO 14001:2004. Polyglass is a member of the Green Building Council.
