Product catalog summary
Product Overview
POLYSOL IPO is an insulating system that combines a plastomeric waterproofing membrane with sintered polystyrene foam strips. It is designed for thermal insulation and waterproofing of various roof types, including walkable and non-walkable, pitched, flat, slightly arched, and shed roofs.
Specifications
The system includes a waterproofing membrane made from a distilled bitumen-based compound modified with polypropylene, reinforced with either glass fiber or non-woven polyester fabric. The membrane is produced using NAT® technology to control the aging of the polymeric matrix.
Technical Characteristics
  • Thermal Conductivity (λD): Ranges from 0.033 to 0.036 W/mK depending on the product variant.
  • Water Vapour Transmission: Varies between 30/70 and 40/100 m2 h Pa/mg.
  • Dimensional Stability at 70°C: Less than 1% change.
  • Tensile Strength: Ranges from 150 to 400 kPa.
  • Compressive Strength at 10% Deformation: Ranges from 100 to 250 kPa.
  • Reaction to Fire: Euroclass E.
Application Instructions
  1. Remove the insulating system from its package.
  2. Position the roll over the vapour barrier and torch lightly for adhesion.
  3. Fix and weld the overlaps.
  4. Position the second roll and torch the side laps lightly.
  5. Cut the system for breather pipe insertion beneath the vapour barrier.
  6. Complete additional necessary details after breather pipe insertion.
Storage and Handling
Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid contact with organic liquids and solvents. Prevent puncturing during installation.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
The product complies with European Standards and is certified under UNI ISO 9001 and UNI ISO 14001. Polyglass is a member of the Green Building Council, ensuring environmentally responsible production.
