Cured wood is heated to reduce moisture content, making it resistant to shrinkage and expansion, and giving it a dark-brown color. Smoked oak undergoes a process that gives it a smoky color, which fades over time.
After using maintenance oil, avoid water contact for 24 hours to allow the oil to cure. Used cloths should be rinsed and dried to prevent spontaneous combustion. Natural oils enhance the wood's structure and color, providing a durable surface.
Furniture treated with oil requires an 8 to 10-week curing period during which a protective layer forms. Avoid frequent use during this time. Do not apply maintenance oil within this period and protect the furniture from moisture using coasters.

For everyday cleaning, use a moist cloth. The soaping procedure should be repeated based on usage and exposure to dirt:
- Dinner and coffee tables: every 1 - 3 weeks
- Sideboards and cupboards: every 1 - 3 months
Soap serves a dual purpose: it prevents dirt and moisture penetration by saturating the surface with coconut and soy fats, and it cleans by removing dirt from the wood's upper layer. Soap-treated furniture requires regular maintenance. The soap is made from vegetable materials without artificial additives and must be diluted before use. Higher soap concentration results in whiter wood and more protection.
