The primary challenge was to eliminate the traditional 'hospital experience' and replace it with a more soothing atmosphere. This involved selecting the right visual and auditory elements, such as the perfect wave rhythm for the breathing program.

Solutions Implemented

Luminous textile panels with changing images and integrated sound systems.
PowerBalance LED luminaires providing neutral white light around the delivery area.
Fugato RGB LED downlights along the walls for customizable colored lighting.
LuxSpace LED downlights at the entrance with neutral white light.
Pharos Touch control panel for easy management of lighting and sound settings.

Results
The sensory delivery rooms opened in August 2013 and have been well-received by patients and staff. The rooms feature three phases of sensory experiences: a welcome program, a breathing program, and a relaxation program. The LED solutions are energy-efficient and have a long service life, reducing maintenance costs.

Future Outlook
There is a strong desire to expand this service to all women in labor, as the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
