Product catalog summary
Overview of the ISOFIX System
The ISOFIX system by PFEIFER ISOFER AG is designed to provide effective protection against natural hazards such as rock falls, landslides, embankment slippage, erosion, and ice impact. It is a versatile solution applicable to various terrains, including cliff-faces and hillsides, and has been successfully implemented worldwide over several decades.
Components of the ISOFIX System
  • Ground Anchor: The netting can be anchored using commercially available rod anchors of various sizes.
  • Spike Plate: Ensures optimal stretching of the net on the ground, preventing off-centre displacement.
  • Wire Mesh: Optional square or hexagonal mesh used for lower loads or as an underlay.
  • ISOFIX Netting: Made from rope strands into a compact netting, mechanically fixed at crossing points with a special clamp. It can be pre-tensioned for stability.
Technical Specifications
  • Mesh Shape: Rhomboid
  • Mesh Size: 200 x 200 mm
  • Rope Diameter: 6 mm
  • Rope Strength: 1,770 N/mm²
  • Minimum Breaking Force: 22.9 kN
  • Corrosion Protection: Zinc coated as per EN 10244-2 or 95% Zn / 5% Alu
  • Netting Resistance: 145 kN/m in both lengthways and transverse directions
Customization Options
The ISOFIX system offers various customization options, including mesh size, roll size, and corrosion protection. Large surface areas can be covered with roll sizes up to 5 x 20 m.
Netting Roll Options
  • Roll Width: 3 – 5 m
  • Roll Length: 10 m / 12 m / 15 m / 20 m
  • Max Surface per Roll: 100 m²
  • Weight per m²: 2.8 kg
Conclusion
The ISOFIX system is a robust and adaptable solution for preventing natural hazards, offering a range of options to meet specific requirements. For further information or inquiries, contact PFEIFER ISOFER AG.

The ISOFIX components Ground anchor The ISOFIX netting can be anchored into the ground using any commercially available rod anchors in any current sizes. Spike plate The net can be optimally stretches out on the ground using the ISOFIX spike plate, because the curved plate will prevent the mesh or the cable from going off-centre. Wire mesh An optional square-shaped or hexagonal wire mesh is used as a covering for lower loads or as an underlay for the ISOFIX netting. ISOFIX netting The ISOFIX netting is processed from strand of rope into a compact netting. All of the crossing points are mechanically...

A strong net for greater safety The ISOFIX covering has to give requisite support subject to differing angles of load .Tensile tests were carried out jointly with a National Research Institute to determine the load-bearing capacity in the vertical and horizontal direction. the test clamping during the test was selected as per the actual anchoring conditions. the IsoFIX diagonal wire-rope mesh with a mesh of 200 mm and a 6 mm mesh rope achieved a load-bearing of 145 kN / m in both the lengthways and transverse directions. the proven IsoFIX concept 08/2015
