PRELUDE The PRELUDE is a collection of benches originally designed by Caroline Voet (B) for the arts centre DeSingel in Antwerp. Hence the name, referring to an independent musical piece preceding the main opus. Since its original design in 2010 the PRELUDE bench offered a specific solution by creating a rest and conversation point for the artists behind the scenes at DeSingel. Over the years, the PRELUDE has gained strong appreciation by the artists, aesthetically as well as ergonomically, which inspired the designer to develop the PRELUDE further for PER/USE in 2016 as a stand-alone...
