Design and Designer: The Paustian Spinal
Chair 44 with a 4-Star Base is designed by Paul Leroy, a renowned architect and designer with a background in architecture, furniture, graphic, and industrial design. Leroy established his architectural firm in 1987 and has since created several notable designs, including the Spinal series.
Description: The chair features a modern and simple design with a 44 cm wide shell. It is available in a standard height with a 4-Star base that includes a swivel and return to center function. The chair can be equipped with armrests and is part of the Spinal Table series.
Materials: The chair's shell is made of wood with options for fabric or leather upholstery. The 4-Star base is constructed from stainless steel, available in brushed or powder-coated finishes, with a top plate in powder-coated aluminum and gliders in anodized aluminum.
Variants: Upholstery options include plain or channel-stitched versions in various textiles such as Paustian Textile Collection, Remix, Hallingdal, Steelcut/Steelcut Trio, and leather options from the Paustian Leather Collection or Tango. Custom materials (COM) are also available. The base can be in brushed stainless steel or black powder-coated, with glides in raw or black anodized aluminum.
Maintenance: The stainless steel base should be cleaned with a dry or damp cloth, followed by drying with a dry cloth. Fabric and leather should be cleaned according to supplier recommendations.
Environment and Tests: The chair is designed for recycling, with disassemblable base and seat, and the shell can be incinerated. It meets the EN 15373:2007, level 2 standards for swivel chairs with or without armrests.
Guarantee: The chair comes with a five-year guarantee against manufacturing defects in materials or construction, excluding wear or damage. All dimensions are approximate.
