Project Overview: The case study discusses the use of Posi-Joist™ in the construction of a new stable block, which is an extension to an existing brick and block building near Dunfermline. The project required a lightweight roofing solution to facilitate installation.

Product Features: Posi-Joists™ are available in various depths and eliminate the need for additional drilling and cutting. They feature wide flanges for easy fixing of flooring and plasterboard. The open web design allows for easy installation and access to services, and the combination of timber and steel web provides strength while remaining lightweight.

Project Details: The stable block covers approximately 190m2 and includes a hay storage area (22m2), a tack-room (18m2), an additional tack area (45m2), and a stable area (66m2). The installation was carried out by the client, Mr. Pomp, and his son, who found the Posi-Joists™ to be a suitable solution due to their strength and lightweight nature.

Applications: Posi-Joists™ are used in a wide range of applications, from domestic housing to commercial property developments and public sector buildings. They offer designers flexibility in internal room layouts due to their ability to cover large spans.
