Maturity is described by the relationship between the concrete temperature, time and strength development. It is a concept that has been researched since the 1950s and several mathematical methods (e.g. Nurse-Saul, the Dutch Weighted Method, Arrhenius) address this proportion and are established with international standards (ASTM C 1074-10 A1 (US), EN 13791 (EU), BS 6089 (UK)).
