Il tubo illuminante è stato presentato per la prima volta, come prototipo, al "Salone del Mobile" di Milano nel 1997. Il progetto viene prodotto in serie da Pallucco nel 1998. La lampada incarna il minimalismo radicale e le avanguardie degli anni '90. Per la nuova serie il design è stato affinato ed adattato ai giorni nostri con la tecnologia LED.
