TRACTION WHEEL HANDRAIL DRIVE This device synchronizes step and handrail speeds for greater passenger safety. MISSING STEP DEVICE Two sensors are located at the turning positions of the upper and lower landings. If the step is missing or installed incorrectly, the sensor will send a signal to the control system to shut down the escalator.
