PRODUCT INFORMATION | EXTERIOR TEAK-OIL SPRAY Easy to use and high coverage penetrates deeply into wood! 008 Clear PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Clear, water and dirt-repelling oil to protect and maintain garden furniture and decking. Osmo Teak-Oil Spray penetrates deeply into the wood surfaces, regulates thereby moisture and prevents swelling and shrinkage. The microporous oil coating will not crack, peel or flake. To refresh, simply reapply (No sanding -no dust!). RECOMMENDED USE Osmo Teak-Oil Spray protects, maintains and improves the appearance of garden furniture made of Teak and other hardwoods - in covered outdoor areas. It is also well-suited for the clear treatment of garden furniture and other similarly used surfaces. INGREDIENTS Based on natural plant oils (sunflower oil, soya oil and thistle oil), siccatives (drying agents) and water-repelling additives. Dearomatized white spirit (benzene-free). Detailed declaration of ingredients available upon request. TECHNICAL DATA Specific gravity: 0.85-0.9 g/cm3 Viscosity: not applicable Odour: characteristic Flash point: not applicable, aerosol STORAGE Up to 2 years and longer if can is kept dry and closed tightly. SURFACE PREPARATION Wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 20%). Osmo Teak-Oil Spray is ready to use. Shake spray can well and carry out trial spray. Clean old microporous stains thoroughly. Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed. As a general rule, wear a dust mask during sanding works. Hardwoods with an especially high content of natural wood extractives need to weather off (for approx. 4 weeks) or be degreased with Osmo Brush Cleaner and Thinner. The finished surface is influenced by several factors, including the condition of the wood. Therefore, a trial application is always required, especially for unfamiliar surfaces. METHODS OF APPLICATION Spraying distance approx. 25 cm. Afterwards rub in with a brush. While applying, cover and protect surrounding areas and parts that should not be treated against the spray mist. Wipe away any excess with a cloth. Allow to dry for approx. 12 hours under good ventilation and apply a second coat. When renovating, one coat applied is usually sufficient. Clean spray nozzle after use. CLEANING OF TOOLS With Osmo Brush Cleaner (free of aromatic compounds). DRYING TIME Approx. 12 hours (normal climatic conditions, 23 °C/ 50 % rel. humidity). All information refers to smooth and planed/ sanded surfaces. Other surfaces may lead to differences in coverage. NOTE Osmo Teak-Oil Spray is clear and therefore does not protect against UV radiation from the sun (greying). If the original colour tone of freshly sawn wood should be preserved (e.g. Bangkirai), we recommend a coat of Osmo Decking-Oils in a natural shade in the appropriate colour tone.
