Technical Qualities ENCANTO is a special, water based, decorative paint whose simple application, delicate blended tones and precious metallic accents that, according to the light, create elegant, shimmering reflections, confirm the union between antique techniques and modern product giving the surroundings a charming and prestigious feel that is difficult to obtain with a normal paint. The product is easy and quick to use and gives no problems of joints during application. Thanks to its composition, the product can be used in interior settings, giving the surfaces a charming effect with a transparent metallic veil, or an intense rich colour with shimmering metallic reflections. With ENCANTO antique art, modern design and fashion, as if by magic, are brought together in a single product, leaving an enchanting look on the wall made up of coloured, metallic accents. ENCANTO is vapour permeable, has a low odour level, is non inflammable and friendly to both humans and the environments. Product TECHNICAL DATA SHEET INT/en/07 Ideal Use Decoration of interior surfaces. Surface Preparation New surfaces should be dry and fully matured. For powdering surfaces or surfaces with old paint that is no longer well attached, proceed to clean the surface removing any loose or crumbling material. Following this, proceed to apply a coat of Crilux or Neofix by Oikos. To obtain a uniform surface apply two coats of Ultrasaten Opaco by Oikos, White or Coloured according to the indications in the ENCANTO colour chart. To obtain a more opaque finish with the following bases Silver, Grey and Gold, this can be accomplished by using Fondo Murales by Oikos as a base coat in one or two coats as required. Application Dilution Application Method Encanto: Apply a coat of ENCANTO using the indicated Spanish brush by Oikos, crossing over the brush strokes in order to obtain an even distribution over the whole surface. Immediately pass again over the surface with the brush without any product to make the finish uniform. Should a more even, blended finish be desired, it is possible to apply the ENCANTO in 2 coats, diluting the product 20% with drinkable water and waiting approximately 4 hours between coats. With the same technique use Ultrasaten Opaco as a base coat in a contrasting colour in respect to the chosen colour of ENCANTO, therefore obtaining a particular metallic finish with reflections of colour. The resulting effect is made by feathering or smoothing out the application of ENCANTO. Encanto Stellato: add Decorglitter by Oikos to ENCANTO before applying the product using the technique indicated above. Other than the classic decoration it is possible to obtain other decorative effects by modifying the combination of Colours and Tools as follows: Vertical: Apply a coat of ENCANTO diluted 5% with water, using the Spanish Brush by Oikos. The effect should be realised using plenty of product and applied using the edge of the brush to apply the material in a vertical sense. Following this, use the flat part of the brush without any product to blend the edges of the various bands that have been created. Carry out the application over vertical wall sections that are approximately 30 - 40cm wide. Pegaso (Tampone Millerighe) (tool for cor-du-roy effect): On a smooth surface, apply Ultra-saten Opaco as a base coat. Apply ENCANTO ready to use, either vertically or horizontal with a brush, work this afterwards in the same direction with the corduroy tool Tampone Millerighe (art 133) When dry it is possible to apply Imperium by Oikos diluted 25%, with a gloss roller Rullo per Smalti (art. A04) taking care to apply the last coat in the same direction therefore eliminating imperfections and acquiring a high grade metallic effect. To acquire the Glitter effect, add Decor-glitter to Imperium. Yield: Encanto 6-8 m2/ltr, Imperium 12-13 m2/ltr Pegaso incrociato (Tampone Millerighe incro-ciato) (tool for cor-du-roy effect, criss cross): On a smooth surface, apply Ultrasaten Opaco as a base coat. Apply ENCANTO ready to use, in a horizontal sense, with a brush, work this afterwards in the same direction with the corduroy tool Tampone Millerighe (art 133). When dry repeat the application vertically. When dry it is possible to apply Imperium by Oikos diluted 25%, with a gloss roller Rullo per Smalti (art A04) taking care to apply the last coat in the same direction therefore eliminating imperfections and acquiring a high grade metallic effect. To acquire the Glitter effect, add Decorglitter to Imperium. Yield: Encanto 3-3,5 m2/ltr, Imperium 12-14 m2/ ltr Centaurus: Apply Il Primer as a base coat and once dry, screed the surface using a coat of Raffaello (R00). When the first coat is dry, apply a second coat of Raffaello (R00) as if to screed the wall again. Before the product dries, put a small quantity of product on the bottom of the Inox steel trowel and apply short trowel strokes to the surface in a horizontal sense, pressing the product and lifting the product in order to create crests of material over the surface. It is important to not pass back over the same crest too many times in order to not smooth it too much. Once dry, using a brush, apply an abundant coat of undiluted ENCANTO (Grey Base) over the whole surface, without however leaving accumulations of product or evident brush strokes on the surface (pass back over the surface with the brush without product to blend and perfect the effect and to remove any accumulations of material).

Immediately use a dry synthetic sponge Spugna Sintetica (art 139) to slightly pass over just the crests to remove any other accumulations of product and to smooth the ENCANTO which will then appear brighter and stand out more. The finish can be created using various colours and combining various colours of Raffaello with various colours of ENCANTO. Yield: Raffaello 1,7 -1,5 kg/m2 - ENCANTO 6 - 7 m2/lt Dorado: On a smooth surface, apply Ultrasaten Opaco as a base coat, in the colour indicated in the colour chart.
