Nuovocorso has innovated the production process of porcelain stoneware by perfecting raw extrusion technology. This results in extruded porcelain tiles with exceptional cohesion, combining high strength and outstanding flexibility. These physical properties ensure easy and safe installation, even for large format tiles.
Product Range and Formats
- Available colors: Bianco (White), Cenere (Ash), Sabbia (Sand), Grigio (Gray), Lavagna (Slate), Nero (Black).
- Formats and sizes include:
- 33.1x200 cm (13"x79")
- 66.5x200 cm (26"x79")
- 120x120 cm (48"x48") - available only in Nero, Lavagna, and Grigio
- 60x120 cm (24"x48")
- Thickness options: 10 mm (0.39") and 12 mm (0.47").
Key Physical Characteristics
Elasticity and Flexibility
Nuovocorso tiles are uniquely flexible and elastic due to the use of highly plastic clays combined with the cold extrusion process, which preserves these physical properties.
Frost Resistance and Low Water Absorption
The firing process imparts frost resistance and very low water absorption (<0.5%), making the tiles suitable for outdoor use and heavy traffic areas. Mechanical resistance is superior compared to similar materials.
Rectification and Calibration
All tiles are precisely rectified and calibrated, allowing for various laying patterns. While a minimum joint of 2 mm is recommended, installation without joints is also possible.
Self-Leveling Installation
When placed on a screed, the tiles self-level due to their weight, resulting in a perfectly flat surface.
