Nuovocorso has developed an innovative production process for porcelain stoneware, enhancing raw extrusion technology. This has resulted in the Biolegni series, featuring 20x180 cm slabs that offer exceptional strength and flexibility, ensuring easy and secure installation.
The process involves mixing water with two types of clay, one atomized and the other not, which through cold extrusion, transforms into slabs with remarkable plastic and aesthetic properties. This method allows for the creation of shapes and dimensions not possible with traditional systems, providing incredible cohesion and solidity even in large formats.
The 180 cm planks are designed to enhance the natural plasticity of wood, offering a strong expressive presence and personality to any space. This size is inspired by the most precious lengths of wood, turning spaces into material design stages that celebrate the pleasure of living.
The Biolegni series includes various sizes and special pieces such as skirting boards and steps, all coordinated with the series' colors. The tiles are 10mm thick and come in boxes and pallets with specific dimensions and weights, ensuring efficient packaging and transport.
- Freezing and Low Absorbency: The cooking process gives the tiles resistance to water and ice, with extremely low absorbency and superior mechanical resistance compared to similar materials.
- Adjustment and Squaring: The tiles are precisely adjusted and squared, allowing for flexible installation options, including staggered layouts that mimic real wood.
- Elasticity and Flexibility: The tiles are uniquely flexible and elastic due to the use of high-plasticity clay and the cold extrusion process, allowing them to remain flat and unaltered once installed.
