High Durable Paint Novelis has developed a new paint generation system – SuperWindy®. Due to the Windy® brand success, Novelis has created a new paint system more resistant to weather agents. It has been generated a pre-painted aluminium product which boasts an excellent behaviour in the aggressive environments and against any form of corrosion. Particularly high performances are obtained against some exposure in particularly against UV rays resistance, that is the main cause of colour variation. The continuous process progress of the products’ development has allowed to combine the previous excellent qualities of the Windy® brand – high elasticity and very good behaviour to bend – with the implement of a further paint barrier which maintains the colour aspect unchanged over the time. Super Windy® lends itself into a wide range of applica-tions in the cladding facade and windows’ profile markets. To meet the market requests the product has specific features which make it particularly versatile and adaptable to different segments and architecture applications: good bending properties, paint elasticity, that avoids cracks during the bending phase, perfect flatness of the aluminium support, resistance to aggressive and polluting agents, high durability, wide colours’ range. It’s important to remember that the Novelis pre-painted aluminium is produced with a pre-treatment process totally chrome-free that allows a perfect adhesion of the paint.
