DRY CONCRETE

Product catalog summary
Product Overview
DRY CONCRETE is a monocomponent, fluorinated polymer solution designed as a water-repellent, anti-stain, and anti-dirt protective agent for exposed concrete and other absorbent building materials. It forms an invisible protective film that prevents water ingress while allowing water vapor to pass through, offering high UV resistance and dirt prevention.

Applications
Suitable for use on exposed concrete, stone materials, and plasters as an invisible waterproofing and protective treatment.

Application Procedure
  • Ensure surfaces are clean and dry. Use high-pressure cleaning for stains or dark sagging.
  • Apply DRY CONCRETE with a roller, brush, or low-pressure spray. For highly absorbent areas, apply additional coats at 12-hour intervals.
  • Coverage varies by material: 0.10-0.15 liters/sqm for precast concrete, 0.15-0.20 liters/sqm for in situ concrete, 0.10-0.20 liters/sqm for stone materials, and 0.20-0.40 liters/sqm for plasters.

Warnings and Special Instructions
  • Do not apply below +5°C. If stored below 0°C, perform a thermal treatment before use.
  • Avoid application during the hottest hours in summer and ensure no rain falls on the product shortly after application.
  • The product is flammable; protect respiratory tract, eyes, and skin during application.

Technical data sheet - Scheda tecnica - Fiche tecnique - Karta danych technicznych CONCRETE REPAIR RIPRISTINO DEL CALCESTRUZZO RESTAURATION DU BÉTON NAPRAWA BETONU DRY CONCRETE Water repellent anti stain and anti dirt protective agent for exposed concrete Description DRY CONCRETE is a monocomponent, extremely fluid and ready to use fluorinated polymer in colourless solution; Once applied on a concrete surface (or even on an other absorbing building material), DRY CONCRETE penetrates and dries very quickly, giving rise to an invisible protective film on the bark of the manufactured product, that prevents water from entering, but allows water vapour to pass through. Unlike conventional siloxane and silane products, DRY CONCRETE exhibits a very high UV resistance which, combined with its peculiar capability of preventing dirt from sticking to the treated surface, makes it an invisible protective agent with very high efficacy for several kind of screeds. DRY CONCRETE gives to the treated material a "smooth" look, that enhances the aesthetic appeal of buildings on which it is applied Where to Use As an invisible waterproofing, anti-stain and anti dirt treatment for: • exposed concrete; • stone materials; • plasters. Application Preparing the surface: • the surfaces must be perfectly clean and dry; • if on the surface are found stains or dark sagging, caused by rain or musk, a thorough cleaning must be carried out with a high pressure cleaner; • on materials other than concrete, if needed, a thorough washing can be done using DESMOG A or NORDECAL FORTE followed by a generous rinsing. Applying the Product After perfect drying, apply DRY CONCRETE with a roller, brush or spray at low pressure. In case of existing highly absorbent areas apply a second and possibly a third coat of product at 12 h interval from each other. While applying this product with roller and brush, quick and sharp motions can cause foaming in the liquid being applied on the substrate: in this case, remove the foam with a clean cloth (even paper). Coverage • On precast concrete: • 0.10 ÷ 0.15 liters/sqm. • On in situ concrete: • 0.15 ÷ 0.20 liters/sqm. • On stone materials: • 0.10 ÷ 0.20 liters/sqm, depending on the type. • On plasters: • 0.20 ÷ 0.40 liters/sqm. Warnings and Special Instructions • Do not apply with either room temperature or substrate temperature below +5°C. • If the storage temperature falls below 0 ° C, the product may become opalescent; If this phenomenon occurs, the best product performance is not achievable and it can not be applied without first having carried out the thermal treatment as described below: 1) in a container of suitable size to contain the package, prepare a bain-marie at 40° ÷ 50°C (do not exceed this temperature) and soak the package up to two-thirds the height of the container; 2) allow the 5 litres package to soak for approx. 5 minutes and the 20-litre bucket for 10 ÷ 15 minutes, then shake the packs to get a proper mixing of the compound; 3) the product, at this point, is ready for use. • For best results, in summer you should avoid applying it during hottest hours.
