ND "Clic" System

ND "Clic" System

Product catalog summary
Overview: This document provides guidelines and specifications for the waterproofing and drainage of sub-structures, focusing on the ND "Clic" Sub-Structure Drainage and Protecting System. It references DIN 18195 and DIN 4095 standards, emphasizing the use of high impact polystyrene (HIPS) for enhanced drainage and protection.
Specifications: The ND 120 Drainage System is designed to exceed DIN 4095 requirements, offering a drainage capacity of 2.0 l/(s.m) at a depth of 3 m, significantly higher than the standard 0.3 l/(s.m). The system maintains performance even at depths of 10 m.
Materials and Design: The system uses HIPS for its dimpled sheets, providing high compressive strength and minimal creep over time. The conical geometry of the dimples and consistent wall thickness ensure robust performance against soil pressures.
Installation and Performance: The ND "Clic" System-Profile secures the drainage system to the sub-structure, preventing damage to the waterproofing membrane during construction and throughout the structure's lifespan. The system is designed for easy installation, reducing material waste and labor costs.
Testing and Compliance: The system has been tested by Pleyers Bauinstitut and RWTH Aachen, confirming its effectiveness in protecting waterproofing membranes. It complies with DIN 18195 and DIN 4095 standards.
Advantages: The ND "Clic" system offers long-term protection and drainage, with features like a pressure dividing slip film and a stable filter and sliding geotextile to prevent clogging and maintain drainage capacity.
Conclusion: The ND "Clic" Sub-Structure Drainage and Protecting System provides a reliable solution for waterproofing and drainage, meeting industry standards and offering significant advantages over traditional systems.

4. Properties of The ND “Clic” Sub-Structure Drainage and Protecting System 5. SPECIFICATIONS of the ND “Clic” Sub-Structure Drainage and Protecting System Product High long-term drainage capacity The ND 120 Drainage System exceeds the drainage requirements of the DIN 4095. With a drainage capacity of 2.0 l/(s.m) it exceeds the 0.3 l/(s.m) specified in the DIN at an installed depth of 3 m by several times. Even at a depth of 10 m the ND 120 Drainage System will meet the requirement. The base material The reason for the excellent drainage properties, at almost any practical installed depth, is the high impact polystyrene (HIPS) used in the manufacturing of the dimpled sheet. Installation depth In-plane flow Exceptional case Compressive strength and creep resistance The compressive strength and the inherent creep resistance of high impact polystyrene (HIPS) against long-term loading are decisive factors for the long-term protection and drainage performance properties. The advantages of the combined structural geometry and physical strength of the base material are shown in the graph. ND 120 Drainage System The geometry The structural geometry of the dimples has an essential influence on the mechanical properties of the ND Drainage System. The optimal shape of the dimples, formed as cones and the constant wall thickness of the dimples give the drainage system the very high compressive strength to withstand the horizontal and vertical soil pressures. 1. ND “Clic” Sub-Structure Drainage and Protecting System The ND “Clic” Sub-Structure Drainage and Protecting System has been developed to protect and drain waterproofed sub-structures during construction and after completion. When developing the system, Nophadrain has taken into account the requirements as set forth in the DIN 18195 “Waterproofing of buildings”, the DIN 4095 “Drainage and protection of sub-structures” and the German guidelines for the design and application of synthetically modified liquid bituminous waterproofing membranes.
