A passive infrared motion detector reacts to changes in a certain detection area. If a person enters the detection area, the motion detector switches the connected lighting. For as long as the sensor registers radiant heat, the lighting stays switched on. If the person leaves the detection area and no radiant heat is registered anymore, the lighting is switched off after a preset time.
