Product catalog summary
Structure Specifications
The document outlines the specifications for Nidaplast's underground solutions for rainwater collection and control. Key features include external spreaders, self-contained storage modules, and spreading channels that are monitorable and suitable for high-pressure cleaning. These solutions offer reduced operating costs, quick implementation, and cost-effectiveness.

Product Range
The EP range is designed for Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) to manage rainwater through collection, storage, and regulated outflow. The Nidaplast EP modules are lightweight, large, and do not require fastening, ensuring stability and preventing fine particle ingress with a welded geotextile.

Operation Principle
The document describes three types of basins for stormwater regulation: infiltration basins, water control or limiting basins, and water reuse basins. Each type has specific requirements for ground infiltration capacity, overflow devices, and potential pre-treatment systems.

Maintenance and Pollution Control
The system's design prevents pollutant intrusion into storage blocks by using an external diffuser channel. Maintenance is simplified as only external diffusers require monitoring and cleaning, reducing operating costs and ensuring long-term viability.

Implementation
Earthworks must include secure access areas, and a geotextile or sealing complex is required for the basin's envelope. Modules are placed according to a layout plan, and ventilation systems are necessary for proper functioning.

Technical Data
The document provides detailed technical data on Nidaplast and Nidaflow products, including dimensions, material composition, mechanical characteristics, and packaging specifications. The products are made from polypropylene honeycomb structures with high void fractions and are designed to withstand various compression strengths.

Case Studies
Several projects are highlighted, demonstrating the application of Nidaplast solutions in different environments, such as urban centers, industrial areas, and commercial sites, showcasing their adaptability and effectiveness in managing rainwater and reducing flood risks.

Rainwater COLLECTION and CONTROL Underground solutions ep RANGE EXTERNAL DIFFUSION Infiltrate / control flood risks Nidaplast EP product range is used in the construction of SUDS-type (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems) public or private underground structures with external spreaders, to ensure the collection, storage and outflow of rainwater by regulated or limited flow infiltration and/or evacuation. Self-contained storage modules Honeycomb-block-based Nidaplast EP range storage modules are lightweight. Their large size allows for quick implementation. They do not require any fastening. Offset laying ensures structure stability. Their upper and lower sides are covered with a welded geotextile, thus avoiding fine particle ingress into storage modules. Excellent hydraulic conductivity Combined with one or more external spreading channels between the upstream and downstream manholes, the structure ensures excellent hydraulic conductivity. A hydro-clogging study at Sheffield University (UK) showed that this type of structure, fitted with an external spreader, avoids pollution ingress into blocks. Thus, the macrowaste in rainwater remains trapped in the sedimentation and diffusion channel and does not enter the blocks. Throughout the structure's lifespan, only the external spreaders need to be monitored and cleaned at high pressure, thus greatly facilitating the structure's maintenance, supporting its durability and limiting associated operating costs. Over 30 years of experience! RAINWATER storage and regulation - Underground solutions OPERATION PRINCIPLE ADVANTAGES OF THE EXTERNAL DIFFUSION CHANNEL 3 TYPES OF BASINS TO REGULATE STORMWATER: BETTER CONTROL OF POLLUTION INFILTRATION BASIN A study on hydrocolmatage, conducted at the University of Sheffield (UK), demonstrated that it is possible to prevent the intrusion of pollutants into the blocks by installing a Nidaplast system with an external diffuser channel at the bottom. Thus, the majority of polluting particles (large waste) contained in rainwater are either directly evacuated or retained...
