Description: The 1/4" PermaBase® BRAND UltraBacker™ Cement Board is designed as an underlayment for ceramic tile installations on floors, countertops, tub decks, and outdoor kitchen counters. It is composed of Portland Cement, aggregate, and a glass mesh and mat facer, providing a durable and moisture-resistant surface. The product features patented EdgeTech® technology for reinforced edges, allowing closer nail or screw application without damage.

Features/Benefits: The board is 30% stronger and four times more rigid than other 1/4" cement boards. It offers improved fastener holding, easy cutting with a utility knife, and compatibility with all brands of thinsets and grouts. It has a low water absorption rate (<4%), is mold and moisture resistant, and comes with a 30-year limited warranty for interior applications. It is also GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified®.

Handling Recommendations: The product can be easily cut with a standard utility knife due to its fiberglass mat/mesh technology. Power tools are not recommended for cutting. Handling may release dust and glass fibers, which could cause irritation; therefore, precautions should be taken to avoid contact with skin and eyes and to avoid inhaling dust.
