Description
Gold Bond® BRAND 1" Fire-Shield® Shaftliner XP® gypsum panels are designed for fire-resistant applications. They feature a type X gypsum core encased in moisture, mold, and mildew-resistant recycled purple paper. The panels are used in lightweight fire barriers for cavity shafts and area separation walls, particularly in multi-family housing. They are integral to the C-H, C-T, I-Stud Cavity Shaftwall System, and the H-Stud Area Separation Wall System.

Mold and Mildew Resistance
The Shaftliner XP is designed to offer enhanced protection against mold and mildew compared to standard wallboard products. It achieved a score of 10 in ASTM D 3273 tests, the highest possible score. However, real-world results may vary, and no material is entirely mold-proof.
