Installation Requirements:
  • Barriers must be placed on flat, stable, and compacted surfaces, ideally paved and free of irregularities.
  • Unsuitable surfaces include deep mud, uncompact sand, or excessively wet areas.
  • Barriers should be on the same level as the traffic lane and not placed in front, behind, or on top of curbing.
  • The minimum working width is the base width (520mm) plus the required offset from the traffic lane edge.
  • Alternating red and white barriers is mandatory to prevent optical confusion for drivers.
Emergency Access:
  • Access can be achieved by lifting the necessary number of barriers vertically and placing them aside.
Installation Procedure:
  • Ensure temporary traffic management is in place during installation.
  • Pre-mark the barrier alignment and work from the non-trafficked side when possible.
  • Lift each barrier so the bottom of the engaging hook is above the top of the preceding barrier's hook.
  • Visually inspect installations to ensure no objects or ground conditions cause uneven or twisted joins.
  • Barriers must be interconnected and filled up to 50% of their volume with water or sand to function as shock absorbers.
