Design Inspiration
The African house rug is inspired by the murals created by the South African Besotho tribe. These murals, crafted by Besotho women, adorn the adobe walls of their homes with plant and floral motifs, serving as artistic expressions of prayers to their ancestors for rain, sun, and peace. The rug collection aims to bring this cultural symbology into homes, offering an ethnic touch with its design.

Design Features
The rug features a relief that mimics the mud treatment of the Besotho murals, using colors such as ochre, earth, and sand. This design element is intended to replicate the texture and appearance of the traditional murals.

Material and Manufacturing
The African house rug is made from 100% New Zealand wool. It is handmade using a hand-tufted technique, with a density of 46,500 knots per square meter. The wool pile height is 14 mm, and the total height of the rug is 20 mm. The weight of the rug is 4.50 kg/m2. It is important to note that the rug should not be dry-cleaned.
