DAS DESIGN TEAM PROF. DIETER ZIMMER (* 1944) ist Architekt und Industriedesigner. Er lehrte von 1982 bis 2009 an der Muthesius Hochschule in Kiel. Zusätzlich ist er seit 1997 bis heute an der China Academy of Art in Hangzhou als Gastprofessor tätig. Zimmer war unter anderem Gründungsbeirat des Shanghai Institute of Design (SID), mehr als zwanzig Jahre Mitherausgeber des „international magazine of design, md“, und über mehrere Jahre hinweg Mitglied der DAADAuswahlkommission in Bonn, sowie mehr als 60 Mal Juror unterschiedlicher Designjurys. CROSSOVER - EINFACHHEIT IST TRUMPF „Perfektion ist nicht dann erreicht, wenn man nichts mehr hinzufügen, sondern wenn man nichts mehr weg lassen kann“. Von dieser Prämisse des französischen Schriftstellers SaintExupéry ließen wir uns beim Entwurf unseres Regalsystems leiten. Die angestrebte Lösung sollte sich durch ein kluges Konstruktionsprinzip, durch geringen Materialaufwand und durch vielseitige Anwendungsmöglichkeiten auszeichnen. Different attachments can be employed to satisfy a wide variety of needs. The vertical dimensions of the system are determined by the sizes of the books and files to be stored, i.e. the brackets are available in heights of 24cm or 34cm.
